Cortina, since hosting the 1956 Winter Olympics, the most famous resort in the Dolomites, has attracted celebrities and great skiers because of its phenomenal pistes among the spectacular panoramic views of the Alps. You have 140 km (87 miles) of pistes from 1050 m (3445 ft) to 2932 m (4619 ft.) above sea level. 33% are easy, 62% average and 5% difficult. 95% have snowmaking facilities and 51 lifts, for an hourly capacity of 60,000 people.
